We mourn the death of Adrian de Silva, who passed away after a serious illness. Adrian, whose book Negotiating the Borders of the Gender Regime is the first and to date only monograph on German trans* contemporary history, was a member of our network. He was still able to finish his handbook contribution, co-authored with Muriel Lorenz, on the importance of virtual spaces in queer contemporary history, despite his illness. Until the very end, he had hoped to attend the next network meeting in July and to contribute his research to the next volume as well. He will be greatly missed.
