Raimund Wolfert, born in 1963, studied Scandinavian Studies, Linguistics and Library Science at the Universities of Bonn, Oslo (Norway) and in Berlin. He completed his studies with a Master's degree. Raimund Wolfert lives in Berlin as a lecturer in adult education and freelance author. He is a staff member of the Magnus Hirschfeld Society and editor of the journal "Mitteilungen der Magnus Hirschfeld-Gesellschaft". Raimund Wolfert has widely published on topics of German-Scandinavian cultural contact as well as on the history of homosexuality, including the books „Gegen Einsamkeit und ‚Einsiedelei‘. Die Geschichte der Internationalen Homophilen Welt-Organisation“ (2009), „Nirgendwo daheim. Das bewegte Leben des Bruno Vogel“ (2012), „Die Goldbergs.
